Be Effective And Efficient

In any task that we do well, we have learned how to be both efficient and effective in completing that task.
Two ways to be significantly more efficient and effective when we write a business email are to use:

  • POWR Writing Process

Brainstorming

Brainstorming is a time-saving tool that few people use as often as they should. Brainstorming provides a way to quickly and easily get started preparing a message of any kind.

POWR Writing Process
The acronym POWR stands for:

  • Plan
  • Organize
  • Write
  • Revise

The term "writing process" refers to a systematic, step-by-step approach to writing tasks. Efficient business writing comes from doing the task the same way each time without wasted effort.
